ABOUT

We believe every child is a pearl and
every family is the seashell that
protects and nourishes the pearl while
slowly growing shiny and beautifull. Each
pearl is unique and individually beautiful
as is each family.

Seashell Pediatrics

About us

At Seashell Pediatrics, we are committed to providing exceptional care
in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere. We believe our relationship
with families is a long-lasting partnership. Educating patients and
families is a main focus, so they have the knowledge to take control of
their health issues and maintenance. When discussing treatment options
with Dr. Alass, you will experience a holistic approach. We believe
prevention is the most essential step. We will work hard to make
scheduling and chick-in are seamless. Your patient portal will ensure
that you can access your chart and easily communicate with your
provider.

Dr. Alass has extensive pediatric experience both
oversease and in The US. He graduated and is Board
Certified in Pediatrics in Jordan and The US. He was a
PICU and PCICU hospitalist for 7 years before he moved
to primary care pediatrics 11 year ago.

Dr. Alass’ exceptional experience also included
diagnosing and managing mental health conditions in an
area that lacked resources.

Dr. Alass enjoys his free time with his lovely family,
drawing, painting, playing oud, piano, or biking.

Hospital Privileges

Dr. Alass has full admission privileges with Children’s Medical Center Plano and Methodist Medical Center Richardson for his patients who need admission.

Well Child Visit

The beauty of pediatrics and child care is that it is
dynamic; things keep changing as the child grows and
develops. This happens so fast and subtly, and before
you know it, your child is going to college. Well-child
visits are timed and managed to ensure your child is
healthy, growing as expected, developing well, and
nothing is missed.

AAP recommends well visits at 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15,
18, 24, 30, and 36 months of age, and then annually.

We encourage you to plan for your child's well visit and
schedule accordingly.

Tele Health

Tele health is a great tool that saves time and
effort, and is an efficient way to address
certain routine follow-up matters, mental health
care, and some acute complaints. However, Tele
health is not always a good way and an office
visit may still be needed.

Sick Visit

Because children may fall acutely sick without a warning
or get hurt, we keep daily open spots on the schedule
for your sick child. So, please call, or check our
appointments on the patient portal for availability. Please
avoid walking in without an appointment.

Chronic Care

Chronic illnesses and conditions need special care. The
best outcome depends on informative care, education of
parents and patients, preventive measures, and
coordinated interdisciplinary care.
